Saturn

Planet Saturn
It is has the day length of 10 hours and 39 minutes and it takes 29.5 earth years to go around the sun. Its atmosphere is made most off the hydrogen and small amounts of helium. Because of its proporties the Saturn is the only planet that is less dense then water ( 30% less ). Saturn in general has a hazy yellow hue that is formed by its thick atmosphere. The wind blows at very high speeds on Saturn. Near the equator it can reach over 500 meters a second other wise as 1,000 miles in hour. Saturn has the biggest ring system of all gas giants. Most of the other gas giants like Jupiter and neptune have or had small rings but saturns really stand out. It is meanly made of dust, rocks, astroids, and ice. It is thought that the formations of these giant rings it is the result of colishion of the moons. The rings are just left-overs . Saturn is "moon lover" as i say. It has over 40 known moons sarounding it.. More are continued to be descovered

Saturn
In Roman mythology Saturn is the god of agriculture. The Greek associated him as God Cronus, the son of Uranus and Gaia and father of Zeus. Saturn been known since the times of the Galileo and he was the first to observe it with a telescope in 1610. He noted its odd appearence and was really confused by it. It was complicated to observe the Saturn from the earth because the earth passes through the plane of Saturns rings every few years when it moves on its orbit around the sun. So it wasnt until 1659 when the astronomer Christian Huygens correctly inferred the geometry of the rings. It was known as the wonder of the solar system beacuse of its magnifisant rings until in 1977 when it was discovetred that Uranus, Jupiter and Neptune have small rings too.
Like Jupiter Saturn is 75% hydrogen and 25% helium with traces of water, methane, ammonia and "rock", smilar to the compisition from Solar Nebula which our solar system was formed.
The bands which is other word for huge huricane are very visible on the Saturns surface. It is exsact as jupiters and Neptunes. The detailes of the clouds tops are invisible from earth but witch satelites near Saturn it is most visible. Up until NASA" satelite called Voyager it was not possible to study the planets atmosphere. In 1990 HST observed an enormous white cloud near the equator which was half of the space in diamter.
Saturn is know to have the most amount of Satelites in our solar system. There are over 48 known moons orbiting Saturn.

QUICK FACTS
  • Saturn is the 6 planet from the sun
  • Moslty made of hydrogen and heluim
  • Has 48 moons
  • Saturn is the second largest planet
  • Less dence then water
  • It took7 years for NASA's satelite to reach Saturn
  • Saturn rings are charted into 14 major ring systems
  • Rings of saturn are made of dust, rock, and ice
  • The rings of Saturn were probably formed by two moons coliding with each other
  • If there was big enoufe ocean Saturn could float on it
